GRP sailingyacht Contest 40S "Zeemuis", launched Spring 1995, building number 019, built by Conyplex B.V. - Netherlands, dim.: Loa 12.00 m (Lwl 10.00 m) x 3.85 m x 1.70 m, headway: 18,50 m without antenna, design by Dick Zaal, built to Lloyds specifications, Lloyds Hull Construction Certificate, GRP hull, deck and superstructure, teak decks, teak hand grips on coach roof, rudder in skeg, Plexi glass windows in aluminium framing, Gebo hatches, mosquito screens, round bilged hull, shallow wing keel, displacement: 11 tonnes, ballast: 4.8 tonnes, fuel tank: 350 ltrs (s.s.), fuel level indicator, freshwater tank: 500 ltrs (s.s.), fresh water level indicator, sump tank: approx. 40 litres (s.s.) with deck connection and natural drop out, Whitlock mechanical wheel steering with cockpit table, emergency tiller.
Classic teak interior, saloon + two cabins, 4 (+2) berths, skylights in each cabin, Webasto heating - water heather DBW 46 (heater replaced 2009) with heat exchangers that blow hot air.
Owners cabin with a large double centerline berth aft, standing room and stowage.
Guest cabin with double berth forward, useful stowage shelves.
Two heads with each a wash bowl, shower and toilet (aft toilet: sump tank / forward toilet: outside).
Pressurized water system by hydrofor, hot water trough boiler (220V and Webasto waterheater), extra foot pump in galley. U-shaped galley with double s.s. sinks, Frigomatic fridge with a small freeze compartment, gimbaled three burner gas stove with oven - thermal saved - halve cardanic, two gas bottles in separate locker with outboard drainage. Original Contest crockery (not fully complete)
JVC stereo with CD player, speakers in- and outside, Grundig TV in aft cabin.
Volvo Penta MD22A 59 hp (42kW) 4 cylinder diesel engine, indirect cooling system, mechanical gearbox, Morse engine control system, Racor extra fuelfilter system, cruising speed: approx. 7 knots, consumption: approx. 3,5 ltr/hr, maximum speed: approx. 8 knots, s.s. propeller shaft - water lubricated with thrust bearing, three bladed fixed propeller, electric bow thruster, 1x electric + 1x manual bilge pump, electrical system: 12V/220V, Victron Pallas 12V/50A automatic battery charger, Victron 12V->220V/200W invertor (loose equipment), double alternator, shore power with earth leakage breaker, well insulated engine room.
Whitlock Polaris 150 compass, B&G net work: log, echo sounder, wind set: speed/direction and close hauled, autopilot, B&G navdata connected to Philips Leica 1000 DGPS ('99), Shipmate RS 8300-BV VHF (Atis) with connection in cockpit, Yaesu FRG 100 SSB receiver, Navtex Target, Furuno radar - 36 miles ('99), Yeoman chart plotter (paperchart -> electronic position help), Raymarine C120 chartplotter with electronic chart and full coleur screen, Windex, radar reflector.
Fixed windscreen, sprayhood, cockpit cover, cockpit table, teak gratings on cockpit seats, deck wash pump fresh water, deck wash pump sea water, safety lines, life line eyes in cockpit, 6 persons life raft in bag of 1995 - last inspection 2006 (must be inspected), small davit for outboard, outboard bracket, electric anchor winch, CQR anchor with chain + spare anchor, self draining anchor locker, double railed pulpit and a double railed opening push pit, two wired s.s. sea railing, boarding ladder forward and swimming ladder aft (nicely shaped in boat shape).
