GRP sailing yacht Hanse 401, built in 2001 by Yachtzentrum Greifswald GmbH & Co in Germany, CE: A, dim.: Loa 11,98 m (Lwl 10,50 m) x 3,90 m x 1,98 m, headway: 17,00 m (without antennas), displacement: approx. 8,3 tonnes, ballast: 3,25 tonnes, design by Judel & Vrolijk & Co Engineering GmbH. GRP hull, superstructure and deck, sandwich construction, hand-laid-up using Isophtalic resin, inside surfaces finished with topcoat, bulkheads boned to hull and deck. Round bilged hull. Opening hatch in the forward cabin, saloon and aft cabin. Lead keel with optimised profile and cast iron shaft, stainless steel keel bolts. Profiled rudder with alloy rudder shaft and needle bearings, Whitlock pedestal, wheel steering, and emergency tiller. Fuel tank of stainless steel: approx. 90 litres, fresh water tank: approx. 220 litres, holding tank.

Mahogany faced marine plywood, saloon + four cabins, total 8 berths, headroom saloon: 1,95 m. Forward: two cabins with each 2 berths, aft: two cabins with each a double berth. The saloon has a big U-sofa with a table on starboard side and a settee on portside. The L-shaped galley has a top opening fridge with cooling aggregate, Triton two burner stainless steel gas stove with oven, two stainless steel round sinks - supplied with hot and cold water by electrical pressure system, hot water through boiler, spacious lockers. Head with marine toilet, basin supplied with hot and cold water by electrical pressure system, shower and lockers, Webasto 5 kW Air Top hot air heating with many outlets.

Volvo Penta MD 2040 40 hp (29.4 kW) inboard diesel engine with indirect cooling (sea-/fresh-water), Saildrive 120S-D, reduction 2.48:1. Fuel filter, water strainer, engine hour meter, rev. counter, two bilge pumps (Jabsco). Three battery switches, 1x 100 Ah + 2x 70 Ah., electric circuit: 12V/220V - outlets at chart table, shore power, Calira Sealine battery charger.

Whitlock compass on pedestal, Simrad IS15: echo sounder + log, Furuno GP-31 GPS navigator, Simrad Navico WP30 wheel pilot, Shipmate RS8300 VHF (with Atis), Simrad IS15 wind instrument: speed/direction and close hauled. Medion CD.MP3 player. Navigation lights.

Headsail furling system, fully battened main sail (42,48 m2) with sliders, HANSE single line reefing system - handled form the cockpit, self tacking jib (27,89 m2) with traveller, genoa (40,9 m2), rod kicker, stainless steel standing rigging, back stay adjuster, internal main and jib halyard led aft to cockpit, Harken winches: 2x 44 ST + 4x 40 ST.
