Contest 55 CS, built in 2000 by Conyplex in Holland, to a Doug Petersen and Georg Nissen design. LOA 16.76m (55'), LWL 13.55m (44'4), beam 4.65m (15'3), draft 1.95m (6'4), Hull no. 4, GRP round bilged hull in Awlgrip Flag Blue, with white waterline and stripe, white superstructure, teak decks, wing keel with rudder in skeg, Gebo-Termopane double glazed tinted glass windows, hatches with new Plexiglass (2009), opening portlights, displacement 32 tons, ballast 8,870 kg, Whitlock Reflex wheel steering with Monarch quick release and emergency tiller. 800 litres (176 Imp gallons) fuel capacity, 1,000 litres (220 Imp gallons) water capacity, 90 litres (19.8 Imp gallons) holding tank capacity in two tanks (fore and aft).

Classic teak interior, custom designed saloon and customised navigation corner, new upholstery in saloon. 2.00m headroom in saloon and galley. Accommodation for six persons in three double cabins: owner's cabin aft with double berth with mattress & sprung slats, ensuite wc/showerroom with Raritan Atlantes electric toilet and separate shower cubicle. Double bedded cabin forward with mattress & sprung slats, separate wc/showerroom with PAR quiet flush electric toilet and shower cubicle. Twin bedded guest cabin forward to starboard. Perkins M135 130hp/96kw 6 cylinder intercooled 2,600 rpm diesel engine. Twin disc reduction 2.39:1 hydraulic gearbox, MaxProp 24" self-adjusting 3-bladed propeller, standard propeller as spare, stainless steel 316 water lubricated prop shaft including homogenized coupling, thrust bearing, Profiseal stern gland, engineroom noise insulatation, ventilator and natural ventilation, Sleipner 24v 20hp bowthruster (in lieu of standard 15hp). 24v/220v electric system, 16 Optima Blue top 12v/75 amp service batteries in pairs producing 600 24v amps, two Optima Red top 12v/80 amp batteries for engine, two Optima Red top 12v/80 amp batteries for bowthruster, Panda 6kw generator, Optima Red top 24v/80 amp generator battery, 24v/70amp alternator for engine start, second Mastervolt alternator, set of nine 240v sockets, AC charging/volt/ampere meter, Phoenix 24v/50/1800 battery charger/inverter, shore power connection with 25m cable with CE plug and security cut-off switch.

Two Andersen electric 46ST mainsheet winches, two Andersen 58EST genoa winches and two Andersen 46EST electric staysail winches, all with second control button from steering pedestal.
