GRP sailing yacht Contest 48 CS, "Gallo", built in 2000, building number 48144, dim.: 14.75 (lwl 12,40) x 4.25 x 1.80 m., designed by Dick Zaal and Georg Nissen, GRP hull in Flag Blue (awl grip), fixed thermopane windows with a second set of windows in the sprayhood, displacement approx. 18,800 kg, ballast approx. 6,500 kg. in a wing keel, teak deck and teak in the cockpit, 3 large opening Lewmar low profile hatches in the forward deck, and one in the aft deck, 3 opening ports in the cockpit and 6 fixed and 1 opening port in the hull, fuel capacity approx. 600 liters water capacity approx. 750 liters, water- and fuel tank meters, 2 45 liters sumptanks, Whitlock pedestal with mechanical leather clothed steering wheel, emergency tiller.
Classic teak interior with 3 cabins layout, headroom approx. 2,10 m, forward a double V-berth with ample storage, starboard forward a guest cabin with two singles one over the other , in the aft of the boat is a large owners cabin, a queen size central bed and ensuite head with separate shower, heavy duty air-conditioning is available for all sleeping areas, port forward is the guest head with also a separate shower and a electric toilet, to starboard in the saloon is a large U-sofa an opposite to port the navigator seat facing forward, aft of the navigators station in the passageway is the large galley with white corean worktops, a double stainless steel sink, waterpressure with filter system, and lots of lockers, Domestic equipment includes a Webasto hot water central heating system, a 35 liter Isotherm boiler heated by 220 Volt AC and the main engine rest heat and the Webasto hot water heating system, compressor driven isotherm refrigerator with 3 drawers and a separate freezing unit, Force 10 stainless steel 3 burner gas stove with oven.
